Ingredients
- Thinei (Fox-tail Millet) - 100gm
- Idly rice - 100gm
- Black gram dhal - 50 gm
- Soaked bengal dhal - 2 tsp
- Onion - 1-2
- Green chillie paste - 1tsp
- Ginger paste - 1/2 tsp
- Corriander leaves - little
- Curry leaves - little
- Thin coconut flakes - 3 tsp
- Salt - To taste
Instructions
- Soak thinei, idly rice and black gram dhal for four hours and grind it coarsely. Add sufficient salt and allow it to ferment overnight.
- The next day, mix all other ingredients and blend it well.
- Heat kuzhi panniyaram pan and make delicious panniyaram with very little oil.
- Diabetic, heart disease and high cholesterol patients can use non-stick pan and avoid adding coconut in panniyaram batter.
