Do you often begin your day with a glass of fresh fruit juice or worse, a canned juice? This could  damage your health and weight loss plan. Fruit juice is considered as healthy one by most of the people. But it is almost as bad as soft drinks.

Fruit juices are such culprits because they contain very less fibre and more sugar which do more harm than good. ‘Fruit juice isn’t the same as intact fruit and it has got as much as sugar like many classical artificial sugar drinks. It is also absorbed very fast and stomach doesn’t know whether it’s Coca-Cola or orange juice.

Fruit juices and fruit smoothies are danger. Pulped-up smoothies do nothing good for us but do give us the same amount of sugar as four to six oranges or a large coke. 250 ml Fresh  juice  is equal to  10 spoons of sugar even when no sugar is added. Taking very high sugar may increase energy level at once and is being dropped immediately that causes fatigue, lethargy and irritability.

Eating 5-6 oranges would full the stomach as it is rich in fibre. The fibre is not only good for constipation alone. It reduces cholesterol and triglyceride level and controls sugar level in blood.   But there is absolutely no fibre in juice.  A 250 ml glass of orange juice would have at least 5-6 oranges and have more calories which is not good for health. So it’s better to eat the fruit than drink the juice.
